Lonely in Church

Stained Glass Window

Lonely in church
The person seated next to you
Is probably new and nervous too
Give a kindly word or smile
A new friend made in just a while.
All of us have needs and cares
All of us need each other’s prayers
To help and heal us on our way
To strengthen us for each new day.
Our Guardian angels by our side
Love, support and gently guide
As we proceed through life’s long quests
Accompanied by our silent guests.
When next you see a lonely soul
Don’t leave them in their dark black hole
Extend a greeting, lend a hand
Shine the light and darkness banned.
Angels walk the earth plain too
One day that angel could be you
Just offering that word or smile
Could make a friend in just a while
