There are many things in life that you have yet to understand. Sometimes it may seem as though the universe is conspiring against you when many things go 'wrong' at the same time. Life cannot be easy all of the time, otherwise it would not fulfil it's purpose. The aim of life is as a 'school' - a forum for learning. There are many lessons imparted in life that cannot be learnt in spirit because you simply cannot experience them in spirit. In order for the lesson to be learnt there has to be the experience. Pain, disease, and other disabilities are not known in spirit yet the lesson is 'allowed' on Earth. You must know pain, discomfort and suffering in order to help others and to heal. After all, you may nod sympathetically when someone comes to you for help, but unless you have experienced first-hand what they are feeling, what use will it be? With full understanding of what they are going through, you can better help them wholly - not just easing their mind with a few well-chosen words of sympathy. With understanding of their predicament you can help and heal their spirit as well as their mind, for they will see and recognise in you a 'kindred spirit' and the words and actions used to help them will have far more impact than just 'saying the right thing'. For in having the true empathy of a shared experience, you not only reach out with your hands and your words but with your heart and soul as well. Cherish every experience - good or bad - for in each experience is the opportunity to develop - to love - to learn to live. Let your soul sing it's song and others will be drawn to it's voice. These are the ones who truly need to hear at that time. You may not reach all, but those who hear the song of your soul will be the ones you may reach. Therefore, you may not make a conscious decision to help or not - those whom you are meant to help will be placed in your path. But remember - from each person you help in turn come lessons that you will have learnt. Each person speaks wisdom in their own individual way and if you truly listen, without judgement or preconception, you will be able to hear that wisdom. Grow, build on it, and learn together. A soul was never meant to stand alone. See beyond your fears - light is around you when all seems hopeless. Carry the essence of your past, the present, the future, in your heart and dream of what may come - for it is collective dreams of many that make up the future that lies ahead. Stand tall for what you hold dear, and for that you will be respected even if you seem to gather nothing but scorn at the time. Those who speak loudest are remembered longest. Speak loud and clear and stand tall against the wind. There is truth in your heart that demands to be heard. The greatest discoveries made by mankind started with one voice.
