In times of trouble, people often look - and hope for - a miracle. They wish for a miracle to turn the situation around. Why is it then that you do not notice the miracles that happen around you every day? Each thing - however small - is a miracle of nature in its own right. We are aware that this may not necessarily fit in with your definition of the word 'miracle', but we say that they are miracles nonetheless. The miracle of your definition is connected to faith and as so many have lost their faith and do not stop to think of their creator; and do not take a moment to send their thoughts to us except in times of crisis, is it any wonder that they cannot see the miraculous even as it happens? Our idea of a miracle is very different to yours. Nothing that happens during your lifetime is without purpose. It may seem that those you perceive to be 'bad' walk an easier path and 'get off lightly', whilst those who are good seem to be 'punished' more and have to suffer more torment. Many more speak of 'divine retribution', but this too is not strictly speaking so. Remember, that although it may feel like an eternity of hardship, the span of one life is but a drop in the ocean; the suffering does not last long and creates within you and within your soul a higher knowledge. So those who suffer are 'rewarded' if you must, with higher learning, greater peace and infinite love. Those who appear to sail through life treating others with disrespect and harm are in fact creating their own path of sharp rock and stone. They too progress - for everything in life is a lesson in its own way and is a lesson learnt - but they will progress more slowly and will more likely feel every step of their path during that particular lifespan. Those who seem to suffer more in life will just glide easily and rapidly along that particular section of their path. All things have a balance - all things have a positive and a negative. It is not to be feared. These things are, in their own way, the miracles you seek, and the miracles are always there for those who understand and choose to see them.
'Til we meet again...
