Imagine a flower in the wind.  It is small, and may appear to be fragile, but in the wind it will bend and never break.  If the flower were to resist the wind – refuse to bend with it – then the flower would be broken.  So, in the calm that follows the wind, the flower can once again stand tall and proud, perhaps a bit battered; maybe it has lost some of its petals; but it is still there.  It is still beautiful.  When the winds of change blow hard around you, be as the flower.  Go with it – for fighting the inevitable will exhaust you, and would be futile.  Bend, adapt with the wind and you will find that once the winds of change have stopped blowing you will still be there; you can stand tall and proud.  Things may have changed – you may feel shocked or surprised by the change, but you will still be there.  You will still be beautiful.  In doing so, you will have the resilience of the flower in the wind.  The winds of change may seem to be too strong; they may blow you in a direction you would not wish to go, but as with the wind that blows the flower, it cannot be stopped.  Nothing can stop the wind – perhaps it can be deflected, but it is always there and will find another route.  The winds of change are such; they may seem to be random and they may often give you the feeling of ‘walking against the wind’, but they do not blow to be destructive, they blow to bring new freshness to your life; to show you the way.  Once the storm has passed, you will see all things afresh, with new clarity.  The winds of change may often be at your back, helping you along your path, making your journey a little speedier.  So see the winds of change as a new breath of a new life.  Bend with it, go with it and do not try to fight it.  See the beauty of the new day after the storms and winds of change have passed.  Feel the pride of having ‘weathered the storm’.  Stand tall.  Be proud.  Be beautiful.
