There are many things in your life about which you feel downhearted. You may feel that you have no control over them - or you may even feel that they are controlling you. It is time to look at this from another angle, to see why it feels this way and what you can do to change it for the better. It is good to begin by taking some responsibility for the position you find yourself in - whether it is a good position or a bad position. You take the controls at birth and although while you are young you share the controls with a parent-figure, the controls gradually pass over to you until you are 'flying solo'. When you have solo control, you may feel helpless at times and often restricted, but this is because of your state of mind at any given time. You can fly free - fly above the things that restrict or trouble you, but only when you have worked through them in a systematic way, beginning with your own attitude. To say that you 'cannot do anything about' the position you find yourself in is to take the easy route. This will, in time, become counter-productive, because although it is the easiest route at that moment in time, the denial of your part in the situation will become as chains holding you down and part of the problem will always stay with you. At every step of your journey through life you have a choice. With the freedom of choice comes responsibility for the choices you make. This need not act as a burden when treated in the correct way. The mind is a complex thing and can solve problems in the blink of an eye if you allow it enough space to do so - if you allow it to hear your inner voice; the part of you that is there to guide you through experiences - and does so from experience. It never leaves you; it is eternal - it is the part of you that links you to us. Your inner voice is your instinct and will help you to survive. It is the part of you that gives you wings on your feet so that you might glide down the path of life rather than stumble at each new step. Your inner self is pure and beautiful. Look to it when you need it most and follow its advice. This advice may not always appear to be easy or logical, but it can be trusted; for the advice it gives is for the sake of the long term - not for short term relief and not for hiding behind until the problem or trouble appears again and again demands to be faced. In your inner self, your inner voice, you will find a true friend who provides limitless comfort and nurturing. We watch you often and find that so few people heed the wisdom in themselves. Why do you ignore yourselves? Yet you expect those around you to listen to you and heed the advice that you give them! Each and every one of you is capable of great wisdom and great kindness to your fellow human beings, if you would only seek your inner self. Allow it to come to the fore and let your light shine out. In doing so, you will become radiant and your happiness will radiate to show others the way; in truth, gentleness, beauty and love. With the light of these qualities, any troubles will be easily dealt with - although troubles still appear (life could never be trouble free by necessity), they will be easier to solve as you see them from a higher perspective. You will become lighter in your approach to them and so they will not weigh you down. They can then be dealt with and released. So when you come across a problem or troubles of any kind, look it full in the face, acknowledge it and follow your inner self's advice in dealing with it. It will then clear away as the sun breaks through mist and will be no more.

'Til we meet again…
