The thing to remember, and which most people on Earth seem to forget, is that it is not important what clothes you wear, what car you drive, how rich, how famous you may become, or indeed what you achieve materially. The clothes you wear simply protect what you refer to as your modesty, and they are another accessory, another kind of mask to convey certain messages to those who see them. Indeed, if clothes did not exist and all on Earth walked around with all their blemishes and imperfections on show; if mankind were to be laid bare to each other every day and every step of the way, then there would be greater understanding and less jealousy, resentment and anger, for it would be seen more clearly that no one person is better than or superior to the other. The purest mind is one who can see within and disregard the outward appearance of another. The wisest mind knows that expensive clothing and accessories are not the mark of a great and wise being; it is the soul and the spirit that chart progression and not a person's wardrobe. The soul has no need for material possessions or clothing and is laid bare for all to see as it progresses through this journey you call life and, more clearly, when you return to spirit.
What of the car that you drive? Why should you worry about such things when the body - the physical self - is the transport through life that you should be most concerned about. What good is a grand motor vehicle if you have not the good health and well physical body to drive it? Your physical body is with you throughout your life and whilst it may not be perfect - some may suffer ailments of a greater degree, some to a lesser degree - it is the vehicle that your higher self, your spirit, your soul has chosen as a means of travelling on your life path. A motor vehicle will be with you for a relatively short period of time, yet many on Earth place more importance in this than they do in the vehicle in which their very being, their soul, is travelling. A wise and spiritual being will know that this philosophy in society is folly. Their wisdom has grown with the care of their physical self. Their wisdom has grown as they travel at a more sedate pace than that of those who drive fast cars. They see more because they care about less and their eyes are more able to focus on the beauty and wonders around each of you, rather than blinded or blinkered by greed and love of shiny, superficial trinkets.
A person's whole world was once the road he walked, step by step, on his own two feet. Now the world has become more accessible, travel and communication are easier, transport is faster, yet you care less about the world now - you learn less in your haste to be the fastest, to own the best. We recognise that you cannot live on thin air but wealth should not be the most important goal in life. If you have enough to live on, however frugally, then happiness should be yours because you are fortunate indeed to have a roof over your head and food to sustain you. You are better able to focus on other things in life, so do not be greedy and turn your attention to getting more, but focus instead on balancing your material good fortune with seeking spiritual wealth. The more spiritual wealth you gain, the less material wealth you will require, the less you will need, the less you will want. You cannot live on spiritual wealth alone, but physical, material wealth will become less important. In focusing thus, you will become more content and more fulfilled. The more you share, spiritually, the more the spiritual rewards.
Fame will mean nothing once you return to spirit. Being well known on the Earth is one thing, but being well known in the realms of spirit is another thing entirely, for each and every one of us are well known to the others. Fame and notoriety do not exist for there is no need for them. We are all as one and we are each as important as the next. This is not to say that those who achieve fame whilst on the Earth are less worthy, or less spiritual, for this is not necessarily the case. There are those who have a more shallow, superficial outlook on life in every walk of life and in each community, whether they are famous or not. Fame may accentuate this trait by inflating the ego more, causing this trait to become more magnified. Equally there are those who are deeply spiritual, compassionate beings in each community, whether they are famous or not. Fame may simply provide stepping-stones and opportunities to express this in more noticeable ways, but ALL spiritual acts are equally noteworthy, regardless of the apparent size and impact of them.
When you come to this Earth plane, you are all given a set of tools. It is not which tools you have, or how many, or how much you can gain materially with these tools that counts. What really matters is how you use and add to your tools spiritually, for the good of others, for the good of the team that is humankind, for the good of those of us who are inspirit and are part of your spiritual team, and ultimately for the good of all.
When we all work together with love and compassion, with humility and honesty, and when we take each step with a positive outlook of achieving and sharing real good, then we know that we are rich indeed and that our spiritual wealth outweighs our material worth. That which cannot have a price tag attached to it is priceless, yet it is this that measures a person's true worth.
'Til we meet again...
