As you look back over this lifetime, along the path you are currently walking, you see many seasons; many emotions; many landmarks. Looking back, it is easy to remember these landmarks - for they stand like milestones along the way. You can remember your first kiss; maybe the birth of your first child; the day you first met your sweetheart. These memories make you feel happy - you enjoy them and you relish the memory of each happy moment.

You may also remember other landmarks; the day you had that big argument; the day your loved one passed back to spirit; the day somebody upset you with harsh words. These too are memories, yet because they make you feel sad or angry you turn your back on them. Yet they cannot hurt you for they are in the past and the emotion is no longer raw. These memories too should be brought to mind and dealt with, rather than ignored. For if you ignore the negative in your life it will fester and will cause a sore; an eyesore on your path. It will taint the other memories around it. These memories must be faced and dealt with - any lessons within should be taken on board - and in doing so the memory rests and blends into your path, enabling you to move on. This way the rut is smoothed and the way forward will be a little easier.

As you look back and remember each thing, remember that you should also look forward. Do not try to stay in the land of memories, nor worry too much about the foreign and strange land of tomorrow. Today is enough for now.

Can you remember the last time you told someone that you love them? Truly love them - without a million conditions attached to it? Or the last time that you helped someone - helped them for helping's sake, not for any reward? If the answer is 'yes' then you have precious memories indeed. If the answer is 'no', then maybe today is a good day to begin. Why not make yourself some of these marvellous memories to sustain you in the uncertain future? These memories will glow more brightly and more warmly than any other because they are completely selfless - like small nuggets of gold along the way. Indeed, they are worth far more than any gold - all memories are.

Cherish all of your memories; they are precious. However, be sure that in looking back you do not miss an opportunity to make more wonderful memories; the opportunity to see and learn more; the chance of the next exciting steop. Do not become anchored by the past.

As you continue along the path on which you are walking, be sure that every step, every word, and every deed come from the heart - be sure that they are done with love and for the right reasons. After all, a deed today is a memory tomorrow. Make sure that it becomes as a flower, and not an eyesore.

'Til we meet again...
