JESUS THE MAN

Jesus the man was crucified, but our Brother did not die

He knew the Laws of Spirit, and to us He could not lie

He promised to be forever with us, until the end of Time

Since it’s only Time that passes away, he’s still ours, both yours and mine

Jesus, as man, was crucified, but He arose as Christ, reborn

His life we share with the Father, though our bodies grow old and worn

Death is only a stepping out of Time, because in Time, the body ceases to be

We are never forgotten or forsaken, as love is His only key

Sooner or later we must all step out of Time, but immortality is a constant state

Yesterday has gone as though it were never here

For the Christ, we need not wait

Bring yourself into the moment, love is never far away

Only love is a conquering force, it’s only there that peace will stay

Brush aside the cares of the world

Let Jesus make your worries depart

Don’t let the labels of religion

Keep piercing His gentle heart

Jesus, the man, was crucified

Bury Him not in your own gloom

Let Him rise again in your gladness

Give failure and disappointment no room

Exchange your despondency for hope

Let each day unfold as it will

Seek not your fortune in tomorrow

And listen to the voice that’s still

Jesus the man, was crucified

Step aside and give Him room

Don’t place yourself at the foot of the cross

Wait for Him at the empty tomb.

GOD IN EVERY BROTHER

Who is it that can decipher the language a Creator speaks?

Embroidering it with words of his own

Trying to interpret The Infinite

Giving the translation a human tone

Man thinks he made himself, so why should he listen to a God?

He has let simple teachings of love fall on deaf ears

And ignored the path the great Master Jesus trod

He believes the image he sees in the mirror is his only reflection

And that the body of flesh moves itself around

He hears no other voice calling but his own

And thinks that, at death, for him a spirit may be found

He mistakes his real self for his personality, and finds it hard to believe

That life is possible outside the human frame

Knowing nothing of his spiritual nature

He believes not in a World of Spirit, from whence he came

God loves us so much, he gives us His own Spirit

That we might recognise it as our own

His gift, a never ending journey through Eternity

When sometimes we are clothed in flesh and bone

There is nothing outside the Mind of God

So it doesn’t matter where we dwell

We know that all are blessed, for ever

Because in the Arms of Love, all is well

He speaks a different language to each of us

So interpretation is not for another

Seen and unseen worlds turn before us

Our vision must be to see a loving God in every brother.

ASK THE IMPOSSIBLE

How easy it is to love another, when it’s love that makes us care

But it almost asks the impossible, when it’s not love that we share

How easy it is to be tolerant, with someone who is of a like mind

But it almost asks the impossible, when views are of a different kind

How easy it s to be understanding, when we can relate to what someone must do

But it almost asks the impossible, when really we haven’t a clue

There is no miracle here, to love those who love you

No difficulty that arises, no hard tasks for you to do

But to love those who despise you, is the way that Jesus dictates

Putting aside feelings of conflict, casting away those petty little hates

This is the hardest lesson that He gives us

What a challenge

What a mountain to climb

Nothing is impossible with our Holy Brother

Jesus of Nazareth…….Our partner in Time

UNTIL YOUR FAITH HAS GROWN

Look at where we are today…. This is where we are

Just one moment in Eternity, under a bright and shining star

What a different world it would be…if everyone knew for sure

That death is just a shedding of the self…..there is no death’s dark door

We have awoken to Life Everlasting, and so transformed our dreams

Life is not possible without the Spirit…….

Though to material eyes, it’s not the way it seems

Share your dreams together, illusions can’t hurt you now

The Light of Creation is in all of us

Faith can free us if we allow

Every moment is filled with His presence, how else could our hearts beat

And so He sustains every body, as Spirit and matter meet

Faith comes very slowly, trusting is a difficult thing

Believing and yet not seeing, is the vision that Christ would bring

Each day is given by Our Father, within His Spirit all life is sown

Let Him hold safe for you, ALL that you are……………..

Until your faith has grown

BE HUMBLE

Timeless and beautiful, the essence of the Soul

Feed yourself on love and let service be your goal

Service to God, service to mankind

Helping all the animals, so nothing is left behind

The moment has come for everyone, now it is the time

Put one foot on the ladder, and help each other climb

Climb out of the darkness, its not where you belong

Step out into the sunshine, and keep each other strong

Everything changes sometime, nothing stays the same

Reach out to the Master Jesus, call out his Blessed name

Designer of the Universe, Master in the World of Light

Architect of our bodies, and keeper of the night

As you plant the seeds of knowledge, be humble as you grow

Harvest your potential and bring forth what you know

WE ONLY NEED ONE TEACHER

Gather in a circle, and hold your brother’s hand

There’s no division in His Kingdom, His undivided land

Our Father made us in His image, the Holy face of Christ we share

The Great Spirit has many images, His fragrance is everywhere

Claim your rightful inheritance, whatever your level of being

He wants to give you so much more, much more than you are capable of seeing

We only need one teacher, what better example could you find

A life filled with the giving of love, of an Everlasting kind

He left behind His footprints, so we could follow on the road

We only need one teacher, a loved one to share the load

Take the hand of security, these bodies are given to borrow

Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

JESUS, THE HANDS OF THE CARPENTER

As the crowds gathered

You stood, patiently, lowly and meek

A sea of faces before You

Waiting to hear you speak

They all wanted something from You

Only that which You could give

They listened to your tender voice

Telling them how to live

You were angry in the temple

When their only concern was for money

They preferred only the bitter fruit

Instead of your sweetest honey

The joy you found in others

When only Your presence they sought

Asking for nothing but to sit close by

To hear the love you taught

What where the colour of your eyes?

The shades of Your beautiful hair

What was it that made you laugh?

Were You happy without a care

I know You try to tell me

When I look into other human eyes

It’s really You, I see Lord

But you’re often in disguise

There were times when you were so afraid

But You knew all would be fine

I wish I could have carried Your burdens

Instead of You bearing mine

The loving Arms of the Father

Embrace us whether we’re right or wrong

The gentle Hands of the Carpenter

Leads us back where we belong

OPEN HANDS

Jesus shares with us revelations He knows are true

Yet man would now put words into His mouth

And with-hold His love from you

He was ridiculed for His teachings, and what else could they do

Jesus didn’t call Himself a Christian, He was only known as a Jew

And so He was a new-age Rabbi, accepting not the doctrines of the day

He knew problems placed before His Father, would bring a Divine solution on its way

Jesus shares the beating of our hearts, He is poised for our very next breath

He holds us safely on our journey, His proof of survival showed there’s no death

Open hands of gentleness, learn aswell as teach

When we give as we receive, we extend beyond our reach.

DID YOU RECOGNISE ME?

(Inspired by the Gita.)

Did you recognise Me as you sat alone to pray?

I was kneeling close beside you, as I do so every day

Did you recognise Me as I begged upon the street

Would you really know Me, should we ever properly meet

You look into the air, but I’m right here on the ground

You gaze around behind you, when it’s in front I can be found

You are looking in the church, but do you see Me there?

I am living in your heart, and for you I always care

You look out beyond the stars, but I’m right here on the Earth

You look to Me in death, but My gift to you is birth

I shine out of every face, but you continue to build a wall

Until you see ME in everything, you will not see ME at all.

THE LAST SUPPER

We sat around the table

It was to be the last

We tucked into our supper

As the seeds of Truth were cast

He said I would deny Him

I answered it wasn’t so

But I was to deny Him three times

Before the cock would crow

He said there was a reason

Why He could no longer stay

He put our hearts in turmoil

With the way He spoke that day

With what He had to tell us

We already felt the loss

He told us of His victory

To die upon a cross

Everything was as it should be

Even though it seemed a mess

He said we rose in Spirit

As soon as we died to the flesh

The sadness racked my body

How could I let this be?

I was afraid for someone

And that someone was me

I know He has forgiven me

He knows my heart so well

Because He loves me so much

He caught me as I fell

The Light of the World has risen

From the darkness of the cave

The sacrifice of the shepherd

In the glorious life He gave

A SAVIOUR’S SONG

Who is it that would condemn a world a Saviour has saved?

A world that has already been forgiven

Who would prefer fire and brimstone, when a Universe, at this Holy Instant

By love is driven

Disentangle yourselves from a world of sin

A world that sees only in black and white

We are equal heirs to a wonderful kingdom

Yet the world sees not the colours of Heaven

Through lack of light

Do you think He would sing a Saviour’s Song that sounded only like a sad lament of broken promises?

Whose harmony seemed out of key

See with your eyes but listen with your heart

Fear entraps what love would set free

Do you think Christ retreats when Bibles close?

Amidst their dusty pages..

Please confine Him not to a book of human words

When He speaks volumes still through the ages

What need have we of fear?

With all it’s crazy symptoms

Conceived in the mind, born into the body as stress

A forgiven world is mistaken that it could think Jesus would forget a world

He did but only bless

The world that He overcome is ours

What other spiritual paths do we need to build?

What new roads could reveal more than old ground

As we look upon a Kingdom already healed

With no more dreams of death

The shadows of fear can be banished

The Loveliness of Heaven is free to unfold

As the nightmares we had have vanished.
