Deep into this Life

By Steve Adam

Deep into this life we travel
In and through the pretty glades
To roam in grand and ancient forests
    Valleys grinning in the sun
    The Earth is smiling

Look into the life around us
Watch it flower, watch it grow
Watch it like a part of us
Just like an old and dear friend
    Is Nature calling

    We also journey in ourselves
    Through corridors of frosted glass
Looking for our own true path
    Avoiding shadows in the dark
    To see ourselves

This is nature too, yes all is life
The journey may be grim and cold
And sometimes hard as we unfold
The petals of our lives, feel growing pains
    We too are flowering

In spring the melting winter snow
Reveals new life, a brand new glow
Will burst toward the sunlight, then
Our love for life will overflow
    A star is rising
