Let each step honour thineself;

Let each step count, but mark not the days.

Each step will come as its time comes

And the next step will appear in phase.

Speak not unkind words as you travel;

Speak not harshly nor untrue;

Speak softly, gently and with kindness

And speak as thou wouldst have those speak unto you.

Recognise the spirit and grace in all

Around whose lives your path should run.

Tread softly, gently, always tender

And let not harsh words see your good deeds undone.
